Punggol resident charged after 58 vape-related items and 8 suspected Kpods seized from her flat
A 30-year-old woman was charged in court on Sept 25 for the alleged possession of e-vaporisers and pods.
Eng Xiao Bei was also accused of supplying vapes and Kpods after an investigation by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) into a suspected case of peddling e-vaporisers.
On Sept 23, HSA officers conducted an enforcement operation at Eng's Punggol Field flat and seized 58 vapes and related components as well as eight pods suspected to contain etomidate.
She was arrested on the same day to assist with investigations into the alleged possession of vapes and pods as well as supply of vapes and etomidate pods between June and August 2025.
The seized pods are being tested for etomidate.
The case was adjourned to Oct 23.
Importers of Kpods face between three and 20 years' imprisonment and five to 15 strokes of the cane.
Sellers and distributors face two to 10 years' imprisonment and two to five strokes of the cane.
