Police seeking driver, passengers who abandoned Mercedes after evading Geylang roadblock
The police are looking for the driver of a Mercedes car and two passengers who allegedly fled a roadblock in Geylang on April 4.
A Stomper shared a TikTok video showing numerous police cars and officers at Lorong 21 Geylang. A section of the road, where a white car can be seen, was cordoned off.
The video noted the large police presence and questioned what was happening.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said that at about 8pm, officers conducted a roadblock along Lorong 14 Geylang towards Guillemard Road when they spotted a car reversing away from the roadblock point.
The driver and his passengers then abandoned the vehicle.
Efforts to trace the driver and the passengers are underway.
Police investigations are ongoing.
