Police looking for drivers of van and car involved in hit-and-run with Stomper's BMW on AYE
The police are looking for the drivers of a van and a car involved in a hit-and-run accident with another car on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Sept 5.
Stomper James, who was driving the second car, shared dash cam footage of what led to the collision.
The red and grey van has the logo of e-payment company AXS while the car whose driver the police is looking for is a green Honda Vezel. The Stomper drove a white BMW.
He said the accident happened on the AYE towards the city just after the Buona Vista exit.
"I was in the right lane behind a green Vezel when it changed lanes to the left and collided with the AXS van. This caused the AXS van to hit my vehicle, pushing it against the barrier," recounted the Stomper.
"Neither the AXS van nor the green Vezel stopped after the accident."
He has since made a police report.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at 2.35pm to a hit-and-run accident involving three vehicles along AYE towards Changi Airport.
Upon the police's arrival, the Honda driver and the van driver had already left the scene.
"Efforts to trace the duo are underway," said the police, who added that no injuries were reported.
But the Stomper said he felt pain all over his body after the accident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
