A woman lodged a police report after witnessing a man allegedly recording a schoolgirl on a public bus in Pasir Ris.

The incident occurred at around 6.35am on May 28 on bus service 68 heading towards Pasir Ris Bus Interchange, the Stomper told Stomp.

"I noticed the man was recording a primary or secondary school girl beside him and he even screenshot her face in the video," she said.

She shared a video she recorded at about 6.38am, shortly after the incident began.

"I was feeling very uncomfortable and kind of disgusted, to be honest," the Stomper said.

"I tried confronting him twice on the bus, but he kept saying 'no, no, no' and then ran away."

The Stomper said she later spoke to the bus driver about what happened.

"The driver hinted that the man might be mentally ill or have a disability, but I don't think that gives him a free pass to harass a young girl in such a way," she said.

She added that no other passengers seemed to notice the incident.

The Stomper subsequently filed an online police report and shared her story with Stomp to inform others.

"I just want to raise awareness and urge everyone to look out for these types of people around minors," she said.

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
