An automated sliding glass door at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) fell after a Personal Mobility Aid (PMA) rider crashed into it on Monday (Sep 9).

Responding to a Stomp query, an SGH spokesman said the incident occurred at the hospital's Block 5 lobby at around noon.

No one was injured and the glass door has since been removed.

A photo that was posted on Facebook shows the fallen glass door on the floor.

Here is the full statement from SGH: "An automated sliding glass door at Block 5 lobby fell when a visitor on his Personal Mobility Aid (PMA) crashed into it around noon today.

"Thankfully, no one was hurt. The broken glass door has since been removed.

"We urge all PMA users to be careful when moving around the SGH Campus."
