A woman, 83, has died after an accident in Teck Whye on the afternoon of Nov 8.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for driving without due care and attention under the influence of intoxicating substances causing death.

E-vaporisers were also found in his car and referred to the Health Sciences Authority, the police told Stomp.

Stomper Joyce shared a video of the accident's aftermath taken from her flat in an opposite block. The video shows a grey car that had mounted the kerb next to Block 25 Teck Whye Lane.

"Twe seniors were already on the ground when I went to the window," recounted the Stomper.

"Obviously, they were knocked down by the grey sedan. The female senior was conscious and was able to communicate with people who came to help. The other senior was lying down and unconscious.

"When medics came, they had to perform CPR on the victim and that continued even when they loaded him into the ambulance."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and two 83-year-old pedestrians at about 2.50pm.

One woman was conscious while the other was unconscious when taken to the hospital, where the latter subsequently died.

Police investigations are ongoing.
