An 82-year-old pedestrian was hurt in an accident with a lorry in Toa Payoh on the morning of Aug 30.

Stomper Ang shared a video of the elderly woman sitting next to the road divider beside the vehicle. A man was sitting on the kerb behind her.

"The aunty was so helpless," said the Stomper who called the police while her husband called the ambulance.

"The road should be fenced up with a barrier to prevent jaywalking. That road is a busy road."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at 9.25am to the accident at Lorong 7 Toa Payoh towards Toa Payoh East.

The woman was conscious when taken to the hospital.

The 31-year-old male lorry driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
