Passer-by startled by 'objects crashing towards the ground' while walking under Yishun block
A man was at the void deck of Block 787 Yishun Ring Road when he witnessed high-rise litter being thrown down in front of him.
Stomper L said the incident occurred on Dec 8, at around 4.20pm.
He recounted: "I was walking at the void deck and was startled by objects crashing towards the ground just a metre away from me.
"Upon closer look, they appeared to be toy cars and a helmet.
"I took a look up the row of units above and did not see the culprit, but wanted to just to highlight this safety risk to the public and nearby residents."
In response to a Stomp query, Nee Soon Town Council said: "High-rise littering is a dangerous, irresponsible, and anti-social act. We have informed the National Environment Agency (NEA) of this case.
"We have also stepped up communications to residents of the affected block to remind them of the seriousness of high-rise littering."
Residents are urged to contact NEA at 1800 2255 632 or submit reports via the OneService app if they have any information regarding the identity of the persons responsible.
The town council said: "Additionally, our property teams and estate ambassadors regularly patrol the area and will remain vigilant in identifying and reporting such acts to the NEA for enforcement."
