A passenger in a Singapore-registered car was caught on video littering at the Second Link Bridge near the Malaysian customs checkpoint on April 12 at about 6.30pm.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to the video posted on SGRV's Facebook page.

In the footage, a hand can be seen emerging from the vehicle's window, and emptying out trash inside a plastic bag onto the road.

The caption on the post reads: "Witnessed something really irresponsible at the Malaysia customs today."

Commenters harshly condemned the act, even urging the user to lodge a police report to hold the culprits accountable.

One netizen asked: "Seriously, where's the basic civic sense?"

Another reprimanded the perpetrators for being poor representatives of Singaporeans to our neighbours.
