Parent discovers son is being bullied after finding 'disgusting' phrases on his worksheets
A mother has shared a distressing experience involving her nine-year-old son, who has been the target of a bullying incident.
Facebook user Sha Za shared on Facebook that she had found papers in her son's English file defaced with offensive and vulgar language.
Initially, she thought there was a mix-up but determined that the papers did belong to her son and believes they were written by one of his classmates.
On one of the spelling papers, the parent's signature was scribbled out and written on top was: "Skibidi toilet, suck my d***."
Below that, are the words "f*** you b****."
On another paper is a paragraph that Sha Za describes as "disgusting".
The boy's parents have since reported this to his school and according to his mother, investigations are ongoing.
However, she said she was informed that the culprit is not anyone in her son's class and that he could be a "random target".
The incident has had a significant impact on the young boy, who has been struggling to process the hurtful words and the implications of being targeted.
"Every other day, he will ask me a question regarding the words," said Sha Za.
"He asked me what the D-word meant, asked me why is it his paper got selected, and also asked me why is he called a nerd."
She added that she has been trying to distract him from thinking too much about what happened but understands how he feels as a victim of bullying.
She urged other parents to be vigilant about their children's online activities and to monitor their interactions with peers.
She also emphasised the need for heightened awareness and proactive measures to prevent such incidents from occurring.
