SFA lifts suspension of NTU foodcourt nasi lemak stall found with severe cockroach infestation

Original article:

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has suspended the operations of Pioneer Nasi Lemak, Mixed Veg, Rice, Noodle stall in Nanyang Technological University with effect from May 8 until further notice.

The stall is located in Pioneer Hall Food Court at 162 Nanyang Crescent.

During an inspection of its premises on May 8, non-compliances such as severe pest infestation of live cockroaches, dirty chillers and exhaust hood were observed.

SFA directed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the food safety practices and the cleanliness of its premises.

All food handlers working in the premises are required to re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1.

SFA said all food operators should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management.

If you come across poor hygiene practices in food establishments, you are advised not to patronise them and provide feedback to SFA via the online feedback form with details for follow-up investigations.
