More than 2,000 assorted e-vaporisers were found in a Malaysia-registered car at Woodlands Checkpoint on April 13.

Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers had noticed in the boot of the black Hyundai Staria many boxes that claimed to contain traditional cookies and directed the vehicle for enhanced checks.

Instead of cookies, vapes were found.

Anyone convicted of selling, offering for sale, possessing for sale, importing or distributing e-vaporisers can be fined up to $10,000 and jailed for up to six months.

In a separate case on April 11, ICA officers at Woodlands Checkpoint foiled an attempt to smuggle assorted tablets into Singapore in a Singapore-registered car.

Officers directed the vehicle for enhanced checks and found more than 3,000 slabs of assorted tablets on the floor mat behind the driver's seat.

Both cases were referred to the Health Sciences Authority for further investigation.
