It's still happening.

Motorcyclists are riding on the footpath to bypass the parking gantry outside the Marsiling Food Centre and Market even after enforcement action was taken by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Riding a motorcycle on footpaths is an offence carrying a fine of up to $2,000, imprisonment for up to three months or both.

But on March 22, Stomper SK took a video of motorcyclists still committing the offence at Block 20 Marsiling Lane.

"Only a day earlier, some people stopped and warned the motorcyclists, but on the day, it was worse," said the Stomper, who shared the video.

"I missed a big number of motorcycles, but this is how they do it. It's a big problem for pedestrians, an accident waiting to happen."

Stomper Frenki had earlier shared videos of the problem on March 10.

An LTA spokesperson told Stomp on March 19: "LTA has been carrying out enforcement on the footpath outside the Marsiling Lane market and taking errant riders to task."

"We will continue our enforcement efforts."

But it's not just in Marsiling.

Stomper Audrey told Stomp: "Actually, a lot of places also have this problem. Jurong West also have such things going on. It's just that nobody bothers when we give feedback."
