Motorcyclist killed in accident with lorry on AYE, driver arrested for causing death by negligent act

A man, 58, was killed after his motorcycle got into an accident with a lorry on Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Dec 28 morning.
The 46-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for causing death by negligent act.
Four Singapore Civil Defence Force vehicles, a police motorcycle and a tow truck can be seen in a video of the accident's aftermath posted online.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident along AYE towards Marina Coastal Expressway at 11.30am.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Police investigations are ongoing.
