A motorcyclist died in an accident with a lorry and a trailer on the Kranji Expressway (KJE) on Oct 23 morning.

The lorry driver was arrested.

Stomper IZ alerted Stomp to a dashcam video circulating online that shows the motorcyclist wearing red jacket on a bike with Malaysian plates behind several other motorcycles splitting lanes.

Ahead of the motorcyclist, a white lorry in the rightmost lane suddenly veered left to avoid a car in front, colliding with the motorcyclist, who fell under the wheels of the trailer.

A video of the accident's aftermath was also posted online.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the police said they were alerted at about 7am to the accident along KJE towards Pan-Island Expressway before Senja Road exit.

The 52-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic.

The police said the 24-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for careless driving causing death, adding that investigations are ongoing.
