A 40-year-old motorcyclist died in hospital after he got into an accident with a van in Woodlands on Jan 14.

The police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 10 and Woodlands Avenue 7 at around 1.15pm.

The motorcyclist was unconscious when taken to hospital, where he subsequently died.

A 49-year-old male van driver is assisting with investigations.

Stomper Tharch shared photos that show a man lying on the road, next to a fallen motorcycle. A red helmet and a dark liquid can also be seen on the road, behind a van.

Four members of the public are seen standing around the man, whom Tharch said was motionless.

A video taken by the Stomper shows paramedics performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the man.

Tharch recounted: "He was not moving at the scene and CPR was performed many times before he was taken away in an ambulance."

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it conveyed a person to Woodlands Health.

Police investigations are ongoing.
