A 54-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident involving a bus at Jelebu Road on Aug 15.

Stomper Gabriel alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo he took of an SMRT bus in front of Bukit Panjang Plaza.

In photos posted on Singapore Roads Accident.com's Facebook page, a green motorcycle was captured lying on its side in front of the bus. It was also badly damaged and debris was scattered on the road.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 2.20pm.

"A 54-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesman said.

"A 54-year-old female bus driver is assisting with investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing.

SMRT's deputy managing director Mr Vincent Gay told Stomp: "On Aug 15, at around 2.20pm, bus service 75 was turning right from Bukit Panjang Road towards Jelebu Road when it was involved in an accident with a motorcycle.

"There were no reported injuries amongst the passengers onboard the bus. All passengers were transferred safely to another bus to continue their journeys."

Mr Gay added that the company's care team is reaching out to the motorcyclist to provide support.

"We are co-operating with the police in their investigation," he said.
