Full regular service on the North-East Line (NEL) has resumed after a delay due to a signalling fault during morning rush hour on Feb 10.

Stomper Caroline was one of many commuters affected by the delay.

Sharing a photo the crowd at Sengkang station at 6.50am, she said: "The MRT broke down again this morning. Stuck here for more than 20 minutes.

"The train seemed to stop very suddenly and made a bunch of people almost fall."

SBS Transit first tweeted about the delay at 6.23am, informing commuters that additional travel time of about 10 minutes might be expected.

By 7.43am, it was 30 minutes

SBS Transit also posted: "Free regular bus rides are available at Serangoon, Hougang and Sengkang bus interchanges. Free regular and bridging bus services are available at designated bus stops near affected stations between NE6 Dhoby Ghaut and NEL18 Punggol Coast."

At 8.28am, the public transport company tweeted that the NEL was back to regular service, adding: "Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused."
