A Mercedes-Benz S45L driver was caught on camera throwing rubbish out of the moving vehicle at the junction of Yio Chu Kang Road and Yio Chu Kang Link.

Sharing a video of the incident, Stomper Stevie said he doesn't know who was driving or what was the litter.

The dashcam footage shows a hand tossing what appears to be a ball of tissue out of the half-open car window at 5.13pm.

The video was also posted online, where it received comments like: "The Merc driver is very smart as he wants to ensure that his expensive car is kept clean."

One Facebook commenter said: "I wonder if they will get fined,"

Under the Environmental Public Health Act, any individual who commits a littering offence is liable on conviction to a fine of up to $2,000 for a first conviction, $4,000 for a second conviction and $10,000 for the third and subsequent convictions.
