A Mazda driver shocked motorists when he started driving against the flow of traffic in River Valley on the night of Jan 11.

Stompers Happy and Lee alerted Stomp to a video of the incident which was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

In the clip, the Mazda appears to be making a right turn before heading into the wrong lane at Saiboo Street at about 10pm.

The car comes bumper-to-bumper with another vehicle which honks at the driver.

The driver then finds an opening and squeezes through traffic to continue driving in the wrong direction.

According to the Facebook post, it was discovered that the vehicle's road tax had expired in April 2024 after running a check on the licence plate number.

One netizen wrote: "Not only road tax expired, brain also expired already."

Others speculated whether the driver was drunk.
