Mazda driver collides with motorcycle on AYE but does not stop, police investigating
Police are investigating a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on July 9.
Stomper Shafiq shared dashcam footage of the near-accident, which occurred on the AYE towards Tuas, after the Jurong Town Hall exit, at about 7.25 am.
In the video, a Mazda driver ahead of the Stomper is seen switching to the rightmost lane, only to hit an oncoming motorcyclist.
Despite the collision, the motorcyclist manages to stay upright on his bike and rides toward the road shoulder.
Shafiq told Stomp: "The driver failed to stop and render help after hitting the motorcyclist."
In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
