A man parked his electric scooter in Yishun and returned to find it tampered with on two occasions.

Stomper K said he first left his e-scooter parked at Block 813 Yishun Ring Road, behind Khatib MRT station, at around 10am on Sept 6.

He recounted: "When I came back at night, I realise that my front wheel had been locked by a number lock.

"I confirmed that I had not parked illegally and the place is under the supervision of a police camera. Sadly, I was informed by the police that the camera was not facing my scooter.

"However, I was glad that the police helped me with removing the lock.

"Four days later, I parked my scooter at the same block, but under the police camera. The same thing happened again and I found my scooter locked with the same number lock.

"The culprit is clearly trying to challenge the police because he is still doing this even under the supervision of the police camera."

K described the incidents as "serial mischief".

He added: "I also spotted a similar number lock that had been cut open and left nearby, which means I'm not the only victim.

"True enough, I checked with my friend and they informed me that there has been a number of mutual friends who recently encountered the same incident as me."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance to a case of mischief at Block 813 Yishun Ring Road on Sept 6, at about 2.45am.

Police investigations are ongoing.
