Man caught throwing furniture down Geylang condo by Stomper, assisting with investigations
A man is assisting with police investigations after he was caught on video throwing items down a condominium building in Geylang on Feb 18.
Stomper Gabriel caught the man in the act on the third floor of Central Imperial, located at 3 Lorong 14 Geylang, at around 9.30pm and called the police.
He recounted: My neighbours and I were awakened by a loud thrashing sound. I realised a man was illegally dumping furniture from height and called the police."
A video taken by Gabriel shows him shouting at the man, who was in the midst of throwing an object down the building. Numerous items, some broken, can be seen lying in a heap on the ground below.
The Stomper is heard yelling: "Oi! Eh, what are you throwing? Like this throw meh? What are you throwing? Are you sick?"
Gabriel told Stomp: "The man claimed he was throwing the items downstairs first and he would go down to pick them up."
He said items thrown down by the man include pillows, iron bars and bed parts, adding: "It's reckless and endangering the public and someone could have gotten hurt. There was also a vehicle parked there that could have gotten damaged.
"The estate manager and I gave the police our statements. The police also cleared up the scene."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance for a case of rash act.
"A 34-year-old man is assisting with investigations," they added.
Police investigations are ongoing.
