Man feels smoked by 'skinny and pathetic' burger, offers suggestions to McDonald's
A customer expressed dissatisfaction with the size of McDonald's smoky beef burger - and he's not the only one.
Stomper Kit ordered the smoky beef burger from an outlet in Punggol on April 29, as part of a McSaver meal that starts at $5.
However, the burger was not up to his expectations.
"It should be renamed to skinny beef burger or survival burger. It looks smaller than the cheapest burger," Kit said.
"I'm totally disappointed, because what's so smoky about the smell?
"The taste may be slightly better than the cheapest hamburger but it's not worth the size, and the price is too expensive for the size."
Kit felt let down by the size of the burger, as from the advertisements, he expected it to be bigger.
"The problem is that you cannot see the size of the burger from the advertisement pictures," he explained.
"It was so pathetic, they should not make it so small.
"Long story short, it's not worth it."
He also offered his suggestions to McDonald's.
"Even though the cost of living is so high, they reduced the size and increased the price. So, why not just reduce both the size and price by half?" Kit remarked.
"McDonald's can then see if they will still have buyers."
Two months ago, a Reddit post about the size of the smoky beef burger was posted to r/singapore, stating that the burger was "smaller than a small drink cover".
Others who tried the burger were also disgruntled.
Kit said: "Seriously, you need to try one yourself to laugh and cry at the same time.

"Anyone who wants to learn how to laugh and cry at the same time can buy this new smoky beef burger to get smoked."
Stomp contacted McDonald's Singapore, but they declined to comment.
