Man claims to be a broker with $89k salary -- but can't pay back $27k loan to ex-GF
A man borrowed a total of $27,000 from his girlfriend throughout their relationship, but is unable to pay it back even after they split up.
Stomper T and the man entered a relationship in October 2023 and were together for five months.
She said: "From when we were together until we broke up, I lent him $27,000 to pay his car fines, return money to his friends and for drinking.
"He told me he worked as a broker earning $89,000. He claimed he was employed but when it came to pay day, he said his boss had run away and did not pay his salary, so he couldn't return my money."
Screenshots show the man being unresponsive to T's messages and saying that he could only return her $50 every three days. However, that did not happen.
He also told her that he "owed a lot of people money," adding: "U tell me. How to give u more. U say lor."

T told Stomp: "He claims to have a $200,000 Rolex watch and yet cannot return everyone's money.
"He likes to talk big, promising things that he can't do and is very good at manipulating people.
According to the Stomper, her ex-boyfriend subsequently turned on the disappearing messages function on WhatsApp and later blocked her.

"My motive is to tell all girls to be careful of this guy and avoid him as much as they can," T added.
In response to a Stomp query, the police confirm that a report was lodged.
