Man charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt after fight at Paya Lebar Road
A 30-year-old man was charged in court on Sept 11 with voluntarily causing grievous hurt after a fight along Paya Lebar Road.
The police were alerted to the case on Sept 8, at around 6pm.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 30-year-old man had allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old man, who was conscious when taken to hospital.
Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the suspect's identity and arrested him on Sept 10.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 10 years, and a fine or caning.
Three other men, aged between 30 and 32, are assisting with investigations.
The police said they have zero tolerance towards such acts of violence and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
