Man can't find his wallet and phone in Tanglin hotel room, suspected thief arrested on same day

A man couldn't find his wallet and handphone in his hotel room on Aug 21 and the suspected thief was arrested on the same day.
Two days earlier, another man had reported his handphone missing from his room in the same Tanglin Road hotel.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV images, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of a 38-year-old suspect and arrested him.
The missing handphone and wallet from the Aug 21 case were recovered from the suspect.
He was expected to be charged in court on Aug 23 with housebreaking and theft.
The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.
