Man arrested for murder after 67-year-old woman found motionless in Ang Mo Kio flat

A 66-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 67-year-old woman.
The police said in a statement that they received a call for assistance at a residential unit at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 on Nov 29 at about 1.25am.
Officers found the woman lying motionless inside the unit and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was subsequently arrested at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man and woman knew each other.
The man will be charged in court on Nov 30 with murder, which carries the death penalty.
Police investigations are ongoing.
