Man arrested for allegedly molesting women in Lorong Marzuki, Toa Payoh and Tanjong Rhu Road

A 34-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of outrage of modesty cases.

The police said they received a report on July 6 that an unknown man had allegedly molested a woman along Lorong Marzuki.

Preliminary findings from subsequent police reports lodged by other female victims revealed that the same man could have been involved in two other cases of outrage of modesty along Lorong 8 Toa Payoh on July 12 and along Tanjong Rhu Road on July 13.

The man's identity was established by officers from Bedok Police Division and he was arrested on July 21.

He will be charged in court on July 22 for the offence of outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to three years and/or a fine and/or caning.

The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community and offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
