A man allegedly assaulted a woman on an LRT train during the rush hour on Sept 27.

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirm a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.

A Stomper said the incident occurred while she was waiting for the train on the platform of Farmway LRT station at around 7.55am.

She recounted: "A man wanted to get into the LRT during peak hour and pushed me into the cabin. He continued to push me and out of self-defense, I pushed him back.

"He was unhappy and pushed me back. He said 'in the train right' three times and also physically assaulted me by hitting the back of my head when I got off the LRT train at Sengkang.

"I looked for a customer service personnel stationed at Sengkang MRT station. A police report was lodged and the police are working with station staff to further investigate."

The Stomper said she was not injured in the incident but it left her feeling unsafe.

"He was physically strong and could push others just to get his way through the crowd," she added. "I was shocked by what happened that morning."
