Man, 35, arrested for murder of woman, 34, who was found with multiple stab wounds at Jurong East
A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 34-year-old woman in Jurong East on Tuesday (Feb 16).
The police said in a statement that they received a call for assistance at about 11.55pm.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman with multiple stab wounds lying motionless at the void deck of Block 308 Jurong East Street 32.
The woman was unconscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead at about 1.30am on Wednesday (Feb 17).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man and woman are known to each other.
The man will be charged with murder on Thursday (Feb 18).
The offence carries the death penalty.
Police investigations are ongoing.
