LTA also conducted joint operations with the Traffic Police to enforce against large groups cycling on roads July 28 and Aug 4.
A total of 32 composition fines were issued to errant cyclists for breaching the cycling group size rule.
Cyclists who are caught flouting the rule can be fined $150.
This higher composition fine amount was raised with effect from Jan 1, 2022 to improve road safety and applies to those who break other existing cycling rules.
These include failure to stop at red lights, cycling on expressways and riding abreast of another cyclist along single lane roads or within bus lanes during bus lane operational hours.
