A worker was hit by a lorry as he was crossing the road on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on the night of July 2.

Stomper Shawn shared a video circulating online that shows a group of men doing roadwork in the middle of the six-lane expressway as one man was standing at the roadside waiting to cross the road.

After several vehicles went by, the man jogged across two lanes of the road in front of the oncoming lorry, which slammed into him and sent him flying out of frame of the video.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident along PIE towards Changi near Eng Neo Avenue exit at about 11.35pm.

The 35-year-old man was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Police told Stomp that investigations are ongoing.
