Lorry driver trapped in seat after accident with another lorry on PIE near Jalan Bahar

A 38-year-old lorry driver was trapped in his vehicle after he was in an accident with another lorry on the Pan-Island Espressway (PIE) on May 6.

Stomper Yugen shared videos and photos of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) at the scene after the accident.

In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it was alerted to the accident along PIE towards Tuas before Jalan Bahar exit at about 4:50pm.

SCDF rescued the driver trapped in the passenger's seat using hydraulic rescue equipment and took him to National University Hospital.

The police told Stomp the other male lorry driver, 37, is assisting with investigations, which are ongoing.
