Lorry crashes into signpost outside Tanah Merah Country Club, driver investigated for careless driving
A lorry and a bus were involved in an accident outside Tanah Merah Country Club on the evening of July 18.
Stomper Shades shared a video showing the front of the lorry crushed against a signpost. The bus had stopped on the side of the road in front of the lorry and looked undamaged from behind.
About half a dozen people, including two men in military uniform, were standing on the walkway beside the bus. A man can be seen sitting on the kerb nursing an injury on his left arm.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 7.10pm to the accident along Xilin Avenue towards East Coast Expressway.
The male lorry driver, 34, and the male bus driver, 46, were conscious when taken to hospital.
The lorry driver is assisting with investigations for careless driving.
Police investigations are ongoing.
