Scalpers on Carousell were upselling Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two final tickets for double the original price, and a Stomper who wants to support local talent is outraged.

The AFC Champion League Two Final featured Singapore's Lion City Sailor Football Club (FC) playing against United Arab Emirates' Sharjah FC on May 18 at Bishan Stadium.

This was a special moment for local football fans, as Lion City Sailor FC is Singapore's first local club to qualify for a major Asian final.

Unfortunately, Sharjah FC dashed the Sailors' bid to become the first club from Singapore to win a continental title as they won 2-1.

However, resellers tried to profit off supporters.

Images shared by Stomper Timbre show tickets sold on Carousell for about double the original prices.

One seller listed a Zone A ticket, which was originally priced at a standard price of $40 to $50, for $100.

Another seller listed a pair of tickets, which they claimed in the product description to have been bought for $33 each, for $120.

The Stomper said he was confused by the claim of a ticket having been originally purchased at $33 because when he checked the original pricing online, there were no tickets sold at that price.

He asked: "Are jokers like this even allowed to sell so high at $100 and above for a ticket?"
