Kurry Korner in Changi Business Park fined $800, suspended 2 weeks for infestation
Three eateries were suspended two weeks from March 4 to 17 by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for various food safety lapses.
Kurry Korner in UE Bizhub East at 6 Changi Business Park Avenue 1 accumulated 12 demerit points within a 12-month period and was fined a total of $800 for failing to keep its premises free of infestation.
Chan Pau Tee at Block 531 Upper Cross Street was similarly penalised for failing to register two assistants.
Buffet place Marina Food Hall in The Heart at 5 Straits View accumulated 14 demerit points within a 12-month period and was fined $1,000 for failing to keep its premises and chiller clean and selling unclean food.
All food handlers working in the suspended premises would be required to re-attend and pass the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Food Safety Course Level 1, before they can resume work as food handlers.
The licensee is also required to ensure that all food hygiene officers working in the suspended premises, if any, re-attend and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3.
