Kitchen fire breaks out in Serangoon flat
A fire broke out in a flat at Block 505 Serangoon North Avenue on January 30.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at around 4.35pm.
The blaze involved a cabinet and a stove in the kitchen of a 12th-floor unit. It was extinguished by SCDF using two compressed air foam backpacks.
Photos and a video taken by Stomper Kenneth show smoke emitting from the block. Firefighters can be spotted at the scene.
SCDF added: "A person was assessed for smoke inhalation but subsequently refused conveyance to the hospital."
The cause of fire is under investigation
