Several passengers experienced flight delays of between 30 minutes to one hour and 10 minutes after an IT issue affected Jetstar's airport systems at Changi Airport on Wednesday morning (Apr 3).

Stomper Jon, who was at Terminal 1's departure hall at about 7am this morning, alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos he took of a snaking long queue at Jetstar's check-in counters.

"Jetstar's system was down," said the Stomper who had booked a flight to Hong Kong at 10am.

"Everyone was stranded as they looked for a solution."

He told Stomp that Jetstar personnel were on site to provide passengers with updates.

"My flight was delayed by about 15 minutes," he said.

In response to a Stomp media query, a Jetstar spokesman apologised for the delays.

"An IT issue affected our airport systems this morning resulting in a few flights experiencing delays of between 30 to 70 minutes," she said in a statement.

"Our technicians worked on the issue.

"All of our systems are now back up and running and flights are operating normally.

"We appreciate delays are frustrating and apologise to customers for the impact to their journey."
