Local actress Jayley Woo has a wish for her daughter Jan Tan, who turned two on Jan 20.
The 33-year-old shared on Instagram on Jan 20 a video of her and her family celebrating, as they sang the birthday song and cut a cake with her daughter.
"You are two years old, my little 'Fried Egg' baby," Woo wrote in Chinese, using her daughter's nickname. "Jan Tan" sounds like "fried egg" in Mandarin.
"My goodness, you were once a part of me, but you can now sing and dance. Mummy's only wish is for you to stay healthy, safe and happy. I love you, my 'little bum'."
Woo's celebrity pals, including her co-stars from TV series The Queen (2016) Priscelia Chan, Jesseca Liu and Apple Hong, also wished Jan a happy birthday under the post.
Woo's twin sister, actress Hayley Woo, shared on Instagram photos of herself carrying and kissing her niece.
"Happy second birthday to my fav baby in the whole wide world," she wrote in English. She added in Chinese: "Aunt loves you so much. May you be healthy, obedient and smart."
Jayley Woo gave birth to Jan on Jan 20, 2023, two days before Chinese New Year. She registered her marriage with her husband Bryan Tan, who is not from the entertainment industry, on her 31st birthday on Dec 27, 2022.
Woo told entertainment series #JustSwipeLah in May 2023 that she would have a second child as she wanted to give Jan a companion, but she was not sure about having a third kid.
The actress, who starred in the local horror anthology film Late Night Ride (2021), added that she will consider returning to acting after Jan turns 1½ or two years old.
