Recently, a netizen spotted a listing of knuckle busters being sold on Carousell, an online platform.

Said the concerned citizen from All Singapore Stuff:

“Isn't it illegal? 

“Will police wait until somebody gets hurt and then they take action?”

In a separate case, a man was also recently charged with illegally owning knuckle busters

Knuckle busters also known as brass knuckles, are considered scheduled weapons under the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act.

Possession of a scheduled weapon carries a sentence of a jail term of up to five years and at least six strokes of the cane for a first conviction.

Subsequent convictions carry a jail term of between two to eight years, with at least six strokes of the cane.
