Not April Fool's joke: Loan shark runners 'decorate' mailboxes at Geylang block

Stomper Melvin's father alerted him to an incident of vandalism at Block 5, Pine Close, Geylang today (Apr 1) at around 11am.

The mailboxes on the ground floor were splattered with an ugly coat of green paint.

According to Melvin's father, this was the handiwork of runners, and a neighbour from block owed money to loan sharks.

Said Melvin:

"My parents live there so I'm a little worried.

"Think the runners could have struck in the night yesterday as it wasn't there the day before.

"Hope the police will take action soon."
