A man was arrested after a woman accused him of outrage of modesty outside Bedok North MRT station on Sept 13.

Stomper WW shared a photo of the man with a torn shirt at the station.

"I was molested by this guy at around 10.45pm," recounted the Stomper.

"I was with my husband and we just came out of Bedok North MRT station, about to walk home. This man was walking towards me and touched me. I shouted for help and my husband confronted him.

"He apologised and denied touching me. He said he slipped.

"That place was a straight pathway and not wet. He lied. My husband caught hold of him. The minute my husband went to call the police, he wanted to run away. I held on to his shirt, but after struggling, he managed to run away."

That resulted in the man's torn shirt.

The couple went back into the MRT station to get help from the station manager. Then they saw the man again.

"About a few minutes later, the same guy appeared and tried to get into the station by escalator to board a train," said the Stomper.

"I shouted for help and a good Samaritan passer-by intercepted him and held him.

"The police came and took our statement and tried to see if any CCTV camera caught the incident. Unfortunately, most of the cameras did not. There was one, but it was too far away."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of outrage of modesty at Bedok Reservoir Road at 10.45pm.

The 27-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case, added the police.

The Stomper said she was traumatised by the incident.

"If he were to go free, he would do it again with other women and girls maybe. I was walking with my husband. What if the woman was alone?"

Police investigations are ongoing.
