They look like swings, but if you look more closely, you will realise you cannot swing on them.

Then why make them look like swings?

Stomper Lionel said that they are the newly-erected public seating at Block 203 Hougang Street 21, which he described as "useless" and an "eyesore".

"There are numerous structures with limited seats (two seats each) that look like swings but cannot swing lining the carpark. They lead to the McDonald's with a top bar for birds to sit and poop on you," said the Stomper.

"They are an utter waste of material for such limited unsheltered sitting, not to mention an eyesore."

He added that he has written about it to his MP, who said it was a "design feature".

"This would rank similar to the red lift lobby of the new BTO estate in Tampines," he said.

Stomp has contacted the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council for more info.
