Heavy rain causes ponding at Albert Centre Market & Food Centre
The area in front of Albert Centre Market & Food Centre was hit by ponding after a bout of heavy rain today (May 3) at around 5.38pm.
A Stomper shared a photo of the situation with Stomp and said, "The rainwater is ponding in front of the food centre".
"This always happens when it rains."
In the photo, people are seen with their umbrellas out as they avoid the areas on the ground where water has pooled.
At 4.54pm, the Public Utilities Board (PUB) posted an alert on Twitter that heavy rain was to be expected in many areas of Singapore from 4.55 to 5.30pm.
