A self-photo studio in Haji Lane has turned to TikTok for help identifying three youths who were caught on camera entering the store, with one riding an e-bicycle and leaving tyre marks on the floor.
.The store, PickyPic Photobooth, shared surveillance footage of the incident on Oct 24, showing the rider later trying to rub away a skid mark with his slipper before the group posed for selfies.
In the TikTok post, the store captioned the video: "Do we really have to put a 'no bike' sign in the store?"
At the end of the footage, the shop added a plea for information, asking viewers to contact them if they recognised the youths and said that the matter would be reported to the authorities otherwise.
In response to The New Paper's queries, a spokesperson from PickyPic Photobooth shared that the store has "not lodged a police report yet".
"Several people" have shared the contact details of all three youths with the store, and the store is already in the process of resolving the matter.
The spokesperson added that no additional on-ground security measures will be implemented at this point.
"Our store is already equipped with comprehensive CCTV coverage across all areas, enabling us to easily identify individuals when required."
"We believe our existing security system remains robust and appropriate for our operations."
The footage has since gone viral, attracting widespread criticism from TikTok users.
Many called the behaviour disrespectful, while others urged the store to report the youths to the police.
As of press time, the surveillance video had garnered more than 18,500 likes and over 400 comments on TikTok.
