The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has recalled Haichijia Hua Jia Jiang Hu due to undeclared gluten and wheat allergens.

A notification on the recall of the instant clam rice noodles product was first issued by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries.

Hong Xin Da Pte. Ltd., the importer of the product to Singapore, has been instructed to recall it. The recall is ongoing.

According to SFA, allergens in food could result in allergic reactions in individuals who are sensitive to it.

Food products with ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity must be disclosed on packaging labels to protect consumers.

While gluten and wheat do not pose issues to most, some are intolerant of them.

Those who are intolerant of the ingredients should not consume products containing them. Seek medical advice if you have consumed the affected product and have health concerns.

Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries.
