GrabFood cyclist taken to hospital after getting knocked down by car at Tampines

A 38-year-old GrabFood delivery rider was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Tampines on Friday (June 12).

A Stomper alerted Stomp to photos of the incident that were posted on Facebook.

In the photos, the bicycle is seen broken in two and a GrabFood delivery bag is lying on a grass patch.

Several passers-by are seen surrounding the fallen rider.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident along Tampines Avenue 1 towards Tampines Avenue 2 at a slip road into Tampines Avenue 5 at about 9.17pm.

"The 38-year-old male cyclist was conscious when conveyed to Changi General Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
