Girl, 16, among five injured after multi-car accident in Clementi, 72-year-old driver assisting with probe
Five people were taken to the hospital after three-car accident in Clementi on April 11 morning, the police told Stomp.
Stomper Yeow was on a bus that was caught in the traffic jam resulting from the accident and shared a video of the cars in the crash near the Clementi MRT station at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue West and Clement Avenue 4.
"Road lanes were blocked, causing the traffic build up," said the Stomper.
"The car accident was so bad it caused a traffic tailback to Jurong East."
Stomper Grace alerted Stomp to another video of the accident's aftermath on TikTok.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident at about 6.25am.
The five people taken to the hospital were:
- a female car passenger, 16
- a male car passenger, 17
- a male car driver, 43
- a male car driver, 72, and his female passenger, 71
The 72-year-old driver is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
