German-S'porean fitness instructor crowned Miss Universe S'pore 2025 after coming in 3rd in 2019

German-Singaporean Annika Xue Sager, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2025 on the evening of Oct 5.

She also won the Body Beautiful and Fan Favourite titles.

The fitness instructor and model with a bachelor's degree in hospitality business is studying for her master's in luxury and fashion marketing.

A day after winning, Miss Sager posted on social media: "Still wrapping my head around everything.

"The past 24 hours have truly been a whirlwind. I'm beyond grateful and incredibly honored to be crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2025.

"This moment is a dream come true, and I carry it with immense pride, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility."

Born and raised in Singapore, Miss Sager has lived in Japan, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands.

Miss Sager was a New Paper New Face finalist in 2016 and also made it to third place of the Miss Universe Singapore competition in 2019.

Her father is from Hamburg, Germany, and her mother is Singaporean Chinese.

She told The New Paper in 2016: "Whenever people notice that I am of mixed heritage, the most common question I get is, 'Which culture do you prefer?' or 'Do you feel more Asian or European?'

"People may think I am half Singaporean and half German, but I am 100 per cent of both cultures.

"Representing Singapore has been a dream of mine since I was a young girl. This will be my moment to show what I, as a true Singaporean, can do for my country."

To join Miss Universe Singapore 2025, the women must be Singapore citizens and based in Singapore for at least six months prior to Jan 1, 2026.
